Hi, I am Mia
Project manager. I am a parent. Expat living in Zurich, Switzerland.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Switzerland wasn’t part of our long-range plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — new processes, new routines, new expectations. Everyday chores seemed more complex than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet, gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built KetbritRotoVinLin
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to close that gap — practical advice rooted in real life in Switzerland.
What This Site Represents (And What It Does Not)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insights from living in Switzerland
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site ISN'T:
- A tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- Just a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Switzerland goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue to document what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Zurich or anywhere in Switzerland, feel free to contact me.
Cheers,
Mia
